Here’s Why You Need a Business Email with your Domain

Email accounts are indispensable to any business wishing to build their email list, send automated emails and communicate with their clients either in the form of newsletters, promotions and information about new and upcoming product and services.

Everyone uses email so, you probably already have one or two private email addresses @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, or @live.com, etc. But what do all these email account extensions have in common?

What are email extensions?

They are all branded email accounts owned by larger businesses like Google, Microsoft and Yahoo. And while this may be great for your account, this does nothing for your business and its brand. A successful business takes every opportunity to assert its brand awareness on the internet.

One of the easiest ways to do this is to create email accounts with your branded domain name as the extension. This branded email account shows your customers and audience that you are professional and it keeps your website at the forefront of their minds.

Advantages of a Business Email

For example, most websites have a Contact Form where customers or new visitors can submit inquiries. That form is always attached to an email owned by the website. Once a user fills out the form and hits send an automated email is sent. As a business owner, do you want that email to be info.yourdsite@gmail.com or info@yoursite.com?

Of course! You would want your business emails to shine bright and spread your brand awareness. No matter what your business size you want the world to know that you are professional and brand-awareness is important to you.

Now you may be thinking setting up professional emails@yoursite.com is difficult but it’s as easy as logging into your cPanel account and creating email accounts.

The Power of a Professional Business Email

New businesses always have one major problem and that’s establishing their authority and credibility with their would-be audience and customer base. When you’re joining the business rat race online that can be even more daunting to accomplish without your chosen field. The best way to do that is through branding.

With your website, your first line of branding comes from your domain name. This should be brandable, encapsulates your business in one word, is memorable and 15 characters or less so that it can be easily found online. Points added if you’re able to add in a keyword that people usually search for on search engines to your business name. With that kind of brand authority, you’ll assert yourself as a leader in your field and rise above your competitors.

Security for your Business Email

Registering your domain and building your website is only part of the hurdle. You need to have an open communication channel as we’ve mentioned about with your clients. Do this by creating a domain email that is associated with your business.

For privacy, you want your customers to know that they can trust your credibility in the field and that your communications with them are always secured. Using a generic email ad Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail will not add the level of private business owners will want so creating domain emails is the only way to do this.

You want security with your emails. While generic emails are encrypted, they still run the risk of being copied by cybercriminals that want to exploit your site or scam your customers. With a domain email address, your customers can trust that all communication passes through the exact encrypted security they’ve come to know on your website.

Potential to Increase Online Visibility and Accessibility

Your email client must be accessible and portable. With a domain email, your emails are always connected to your domain. If you transfer hosting companies no worries about having to announce a new email to your audience.

And finally, use a domain email for more brand awareness and to strengthen your brand’s authority. You want your clients, to know that you are more than just a small business but you are ready to become a titan and leader in your industry. With a domain email, you do this with ease.
